What is LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® x Coaching?

A way to access deeper insight…
… and enhance communication

LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® xCoaching is a way to enhance coaching conversations. Using LEGO® bricks with a client unlocks new and deeper ways for clients to communicate.

LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® xCoaching looks different for every client. It can be used as a one-off tool to work through a specific subject or evolve as a preferred coaching style for that particular coachee.

Traditional coaching conversations tend to focus mainly on auditory communication. By introducing visual and kinesthetic learning, the coachee can unlock a new depth of understanding, far beyond mere words.

But at its heart, LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is a way to create a dialogue with a client and support that client to get to the outcome they need.

LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® xCoaching FAQ's
  • Do I need to be a coach to do the training?
Yes, to complete either of our LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® x Coaching training programmes, you need to be a coach. Attendees must understand how to coach and actively use coaching models in their professional practice.

We appreciate that there are many pathways to being a coach. Usually, attendees have completed a coaching qualification or are members of a coaching association. Just ask if you're unsure.
  • Do I need to have LEGO?
No, we send you LEGO® bricks ahead of your training so there is no need to have any in advance. During our training, we will also cover the practicalities of coaching with LEGO® and how to send LEGO® to clients.
  • Is this suitable for team coaches?
Our 2-day Coaching training is primarily focussed on the use of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® in a 1-2-1 environment. We cover team coaching but team coaching often requires skill to facilitate ‘Build Level 2’, shared model building.

online or face-to-face and upgrade with our one day xCoaching upgrade programme.
