The LEGO Group don't provide LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® training, instead they use SeriousWork to train their staff
LEGO Group officially advise that you have two routes for attending LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® training: "trainers in the original method… and trainers of an expanded version of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method”. Our training delivers the expansion the LEGO Group refer to and advances the traditional model of teaching LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®.
Learn to facilitate, not participateSERIOUSWORK training takes the opposite approach to the “master-learner” style of most trainers of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology.
Whilst the traditional model of training gives participants an excellent experience of what it is like to be facilitated our masterclasses instead help you develop your facilitation skills with the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology.
This is the BIG difference between our course and others. The traditional 4 day training 'teaches LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®' we focus on practicing facilitation using LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®.
Practice basedAfter demonstrations, participants in our training take turns to facilitate the group. This practice helps you develop your facilitation skills AND you learn from the experience of how others facilitate the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology.
Each sprint is linked to an important facilitator skill set. Uniquely, you also get to practice with a group you’ve never met. On the afternoon of day 2 we invite people new to the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method to an introductory workshop and you facilitate your first workshop. An excellent way to practice the facilitation skills you have been learning.
Small groups of 8 participants - maximumIn order to learn how to facilitate and have time for everyone in the group to practice new skills means we limit our courses to 8 people. Larger training workshops inevitably mean there is little time for everyone to have time to practice facilitation.
Focusing on the core LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® skillsOur training focuses on Level 1 “Individual Model Building” and Level 2 “Shared Model Building”. These are the foundation skills of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® process.If you will facilitate workshops that are half a day to a day in duration you will only use Build Levels 1 and 2. Build Level 3: System model workshops only work with small groups in 2-3 day workshops.
We also think it is best to master facilitating Build Levels 1 and 2 before going on to learn how to facilitate Build Level 3 in advanced training.
Focused and intensiveWe know that your time is valuable. Because we focus on the core LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® skills it means our standard training is two full days, 09.00-18:00.
Ethos & fitWe aim to gather high quality groups of learners who share our ethos and who can bring additional value and insight to our collective training experience.

Your certificate after completing 2 days training (very pretty it is too)SERIOUSWORK masterclasses give you a certification for successfully facilitating Build Level 1 and Build Level 2. We think this is more valuable than the a 'certificate of completion' given on traditional training programmes, because you have practiced all the skills you'll need (rather than been facilitated).A pathway to Certified Professional Facilitation
As professional facilitators we think certificates of competency as are the most valuable to you and your prospective clients.
We are International Association of Facilitators (IAF) Certified™ Professional Facilitators and we can mentor you through the process of becoming an IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator.
IAF certification is impartial and after peer review of your skill, you can attain a higher level of facilitation certification.
SERIOUSWORK masterclasses are run by practitioners who occasionally teachThis gives you grounded real-world instruction with advice about how to successfully use the method in all kinds of different assignments, applications, group size and available time.

My conclusion: you can read the SERIOUS WORK book (recommended), you can go to a workshop or Meetup, but you won't get privileged access to Sean's expertise in facilitating that he willingly shares during the training.
