LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Facilitator Training

Different applications of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® process require different skills. The model below shows the skills needed for the meetings or workshops where you plan to use the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method and materials.

Applications, build levels and skill levels

LEGO Serious Play Facilitator Training Levels
Facilitation of Build Level 1: Individual Models enables you to enhance communication on any issue, unlock learning, set goals, offer feedback, mentor or coach.

You can facilitate many kinds of meeting with just this Build Level.

If you want to help teams create common understanding on shared concerns like team vision, you'll need to understand how to facilitate 
Build Level 2: Shared Model Building.

Three levels of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitation skills

The build levels are like a ladder. You learn the levels in turn, as each requires the competency the previous step enables.

Build Level 1
Individual Model Building

Explore and agree values and behaviours. Unlock individual and group communication and learning on any topic.

Develop your LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitation skills

As our book Serious Work explains Build Level 3 is not 'better' than Build level 1. Level 1 is the foundation and underpins Levels 2 and 3. Each Level has specific skills that a facilitator requires. Most LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® workshops run everyday, all-over-the-world, use Build Levels 1 and 2.
